This research project is being undertaken by MSc Karolina Ścigała, MSc Christoph Schild, and Prof. Dr. Ingo Zettler from the Department of Psychology of the University of Copenhagen (contact details below).
This study is about human behavior in decision making situations. Specifically, we are investigating what affects people’s decision making. The experiment will last about 25 minutes and consists of two parts. The first part of the study is a personality questionnaire. In the second part of the study you will be asked to provide answers in a certain decision making situation.
Please be assured that your responses are fully anonymous and we do not have access to any identifying information held by Amazon.
To be eligible to participate, you must be at least 18 years of age.
Participation in this study is voluntary and you are free to withdraw from the research project at any time. You can withdraw during a questionnaire by shutting down your web browser. All data will be confidential, and identifying information (i.e., worker ID) will only be used to match your first set of responses to your second.
Please be aware that this study serves scientific purposes. Hence, we rely on your careful participation. Otherwise, please do not take part in this study.
In order to participate in this study you need to have a normal six-sided die as it will be required to use it in some of the tasks. It is not possible to participate in the study if you do not have a six-sided die while participating.
Your participation in this study does not prejudice any right to compensation, which you may have under statute or common law. There are no foreseeable risks associated with participating in this study and all data will be stored securely on a password-protected computer and kept confidential. Data collected from this study will be used to write manuscripts for publication and/or presentations at conferences. In both cases, outputs of this study will not refer to any individual cases; that is, only aggregated results will be presented. Feel free to download or print a copy of this Participant Information Form for your personal records.
Please contact MSc Karolina Ścigała (email@example.com) if there are any questions you may have concerning the research.
